Program Comments

In Fiscal Year (FY) 2013, HHS is reporting a composite error estimate for the Medicare Prescription Drug Program (Part D), based on Calendar Year (CY) 2011 payments. The FY 2013 Part D Composite Payment Error Rate combines four component payment error measures:; the Payment Error relating to Low Income Subsidy status (PELS); the Payment Error Related to Incorrect Medicaid Status (PEMS); the Payment Error Related to Prescription Drug Event Data Validation (PEPV); and the Payment Error related to Direct and Indirect Remuneration (PEDIR). More information on this program can be found in the Department's Agency Financial Report.
